PHOTOGRAPHY
Although my main love is design, I am also very passionate about photography. I began darkroom photography classes my senior year of high school, and I feel in love with working with photos to create art.
![]() MONTANA FOGI was fortunate enough to go to Montana with my family during the summer of 2013. This photo was taken early in the morning when the fog had not lifted yet in the mountains. | ![]() BLUE WATERSThis photograph was taken near Avalanche Lake in Montana during the summer of 2013. I used a tripod and a long exposure to get the misty look of this photo. | ![]() WATERCOLOR LEAVESThe see-through look of these leaves are because of the backlighting by the sun. |

![]() BIG HORN SHEEPThese bighorn sheep were resting on a hill on Logan's Pass in the Rocky Mountains in Montana. | ![]() AGRARIAN LIFEThis image was taken at Conner Prairie Living History Museum in Fishers, Ind. I saw the sheep standing in the doorway and took advantage of the framing created by the door. | ![]() THE GREAT WYOMING LANDSCAPEThis photo was taken on the way to the Rocky Mountains. It was taken with an aperture of 22 because that is ideal for most landscapes. |
![]() SQUIRREL BUDDIESI saw these two poking their heads out of a tree in Indianapolis, Ind. on Lockerbie Square. | ![]() INDIANAPOLIS BUILDINGSThis image is of Indianapolis, Ind. I thought the layers of buildings made the city seem so large a beautiful. | ![]() PORTRAITThis portrait was taken in Minnetrista Park in Muncie, Ind. I used a prime lens to take this image with an aperture of 4. I was taking advantage of the broken light to create bokeh. |
![]() FLOWER MACROI preferred this photo over other images of flowers because of the small green bug visible. The macro lens allowed me to pick up on the fine details and blur the background. | ![]() PURPLE FLOWERThis butterfly landed on a purple flower, and I wanted to capture the simplicity of the single flower. The purple flower pops agains the green background with a shallow depth-of-field. | ![]() BARBSI was experimenting with my new prime lens when I took this image of barbed wire. |
![]() HOMEIndianapolis is the city that I was born in, and it will always be my home. This photo was taken from the gravesite of James Whitcomb Riley. I increased the contrast and polarization to create the high contrast in the clouds. | ![]() BICYCLEI liked this photograph of the bike because I really love bikes, and because it featured a sun flare that was not distracting, but added to the photo. | ![]() BLACK AND WHITE BARNMy favorite photo subjects are dilapidated buildings. This old barn had very textured wood, and I loved the character that it added to an otherwise plain building. The black and white captures the contrast of the wood. |
![]() DANDELIONThis photograph was taken in a field full of dandelions just before sunset. I used a shallow depth of field to take this photograph, and I liked the lighting. | ![]() LIGHTHOUSEThis photo was taken on a dolphin tour in Tybee Island, Georgia. I took a break from photographing dolphins for a while to capture the beauty of the sunset. | ![]() PORTRAITThis photo was taken inside an abandon schoolhouse that is now open for photographers. I took advantage of side-lighting to create soft shadows on my subject. |
